Ooft, the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale looks resplendent in blue
Alfa releases new images of its limited-run supercar. These are the kind of ‘blues’ we don’t mind having
Alfa’s gone rogue on the primary colours, bedecking the new 33 Stradale in a shade of royal blue. We like it very much. Very much indeed.
Now, if you’ve not been living under a rock, you’ll know that the 33 Stradale is the brand’s limited-edition (and completely sold out) revamp of the 1967 classic. You may also know that a blue livery isn’t new territory for Alfa. While the classic Rosso is typically associated with the brand, back in the ‘60s the Stradale was made available in that, Rosso d’Villa Este and Blu Reale. Frankly though, the thing could be as brown as a dog's business and still look gorgeous.
The contemporary two-seater remake features either a V6 or a purely electric powertrain, capable of either 620bhp or 750bhp respectively. We’re not told which this Blu Reale example has, though.
Alfa tells us the number 33 means a lot to them. The brand dominated racing in 1933, it’s been 33 months since a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Super Sport won the historical re-enactment of the Mille Miglia and serendipitously, the brand grew 33 per cent in 2023.
That’s why its decided to give the Stradale its own day. Why the heck not? So, put the third of March (3/3, geddit?) in your diaries for next year and we’ll see you then for some more 33 Stradale fangirling.
