Oh no, we missed our chance to buy this cute little RUF CTR Yellowbird model
The first physical model from Ritter Goods will give you a Faszination throwback every time you sit at your desk
We never need an excuse to rewatch Faszination on the Nürburgring, but here’s one anyway – artist Andrew Ritter (perhaps better known as Ritter Goods) has unveiled his first ever physical model.
Yep, it’s a teeny 1:43 scale model of the 1987 RUF CTR Yellowbird, and it is absolutely fantastic. We love Ritter’s style for squishing the world’s greatest cars into cute little illustrations, and now you can experience it every day by plonking RUF’s iconic modified Porsche 911 on your desk.
We’re told the little model gets a resin body with proper detail all over – even underneath with the exhaust, turbo waste gates and suspension visible under there. There’s even a full interior with a roll cage, bucket seats, a RUF steering wheel and a replica instrument cluster with the speedo pegged at the Yellowbird’s 213mph top speed.
Unfortunately though, we have some bad news. Ritter Goods only offered the baby Yellowbird in ‘very limited production’, and despite each one costing $125, they’re all sold out already.
Excuse us while we head over to a well-known auction site to set up a new saved search…
