Oh boy, it looks like the Alfa Romeo 6C supercar is actually coming this year

Alfa social media video hints at a 2023 launch for a new halo model

Looks like Alfa Romeo has big plans for 2023. It has been long rumoured that a new supercar or flagship of some form is in the works at Alfa, but a short social media video welcoming in the new year looks to have confirmed that we’ll see it in 2023. Hurrah!

You can check out said video here, but our interpretation is that the flash at the end is a look at the rear light signature of an upcoming supercar. Oh, and given that the rumours are it’ll be called the 6C, is anyone else seeing hints of a 6 and a C in that red shape? Potentially a bit of a stretch, that, but you can’t blame us for getting excited.

We included an upcoming Alfa supercar in our recent ‘top 23 cars of 2023’ gallery as we ran through everything to look out for during the upcoming trip around the sun, but this apparent confirmation is excellent news.

There’s still no word on whether it’ll be petrol, electric or hybrid, and we’ve actually no idea whether it’ll be a sports car, a supercar or a hypercar, but we’d love if it followed on from the old 8C supercar in some way or another. 

Oh, and let’s just hope that they build a few more of them than the Alfa Romeo Giulia SWB Zagato, as glorious as that one-off is…
