Limited edition Porsche heads to the UK
The Porsche 911 Turbo S, as we found out last year, is blindingly fast. The Porsche 911 Turbo S, as we found out this year, isn't too far off a 918 Spyder in a drag race.
In short, it's probably about as much speed as any human should be allowed to handle in one, £140k lump. Or, as we learn today, a £150k lump of ‘Exclusive GB Edition'.
Porsche is giving the UK some love with a limited run of 40 Porsche 911 Turbo S models replete with subtle details inspired by the classic 1974 Porsche Turbo (pic 5, above), a car that really, really doesn't like your ham-fisted approach to driving.
So, what do you get? A choice of three exterior colours (white, silver or red), high gloss black 20in Sport Classic alloys/wing mirrors/rear spoiler/door handles, a Union Jack flag on the glovebox, a SportDesign steering wheel with red stitching, some black leather, privacy glass and illuminated ‘911 Turbo S Exclusive GB Edition' lettering on the door sill.
Then there are the bespoke floor mats, carbon interior trim, and complementary accessories including a photo book and key pouch.
Oh, you'll also get that turbocharged 3.8-litre flat-six engine developing 553bhp and 553lb ft of torque with four-wheel-drive. It'll go from 0-62mph in 3.1 seconds and top out at 198mph. It'll also destroy your life and leave you a shell of being.
As mentioned, just 40 will be built, each costing £150,237.
Now watch one go up against the mighty 918 Spyder as part of Top Gear's Speed Week...
