Lamborghini has built Huracáns twice as quickly as Gallardos

The 14,022nd Lamborghini Huracán has just rolled off the production line in Sant'Agata Bolognese to much fanfare. Why, you might ask. Well, that number equals the total amount of Gallardos built, only the Huracán has got there in half the time.

Yep, it took Lambo ten years to build the entire run of Gallardos between 2003 and 2013, but just five years to build the equivalent number of Huracáns. More V10 engines = more happiness.

That total includes all variants of the Huracán from the base coupe and Spyder, to the RWD Performante and Performante Spyder, and now the new Huracán Evo in both coupe and open top forms. Lovely.

The special 14,022nd car was a Huracán Evo coupe in Grigio Titans that’s apparently destined for the Korean market.

Lamborghini has also said that it delivered a total of 4,553 cars to clients in the first six months of 2019 – an increase of 96 per cent compared to the same period last year. 1,211 of those cars were Huracáns, and 649 were apparently Aventadors. That means, thanks to a quick bit of trademark Top Gear maths, we know that 2,693 Urus' (or should it be Uri?) were sold in that time.
