Gordon Murray's T.33 supercar will be unveiled later this month

Murray previously told TG that his next creation would be “a more accessible V12”

Published: 06 Jan 2022

Here’s one to keep both eyes out for – Gordon Murray has announced that his next supercar - the T.33 - will be unveiled to the world on 27 January. Announcing an announcement, we see what you did there Gordon. It’s certainly got us chomping at the bit though…

Murray previously told TopGear.com that his next creation would have “a different version of the [T.50’s] V12, with different materials, and a different version of the gearbox.” Back in July 2021 that meant potentially offering a paddleshift auto alongside a manual. There was also talk of the T.33 being a more conventional two-seater, rather than the McLaren F1-style three-seat layout as seen in the above T.50

Will it get the fan? Will it still rev to 12,100rpm? Will it cost less than the £3m-ish T.50? We have so many questions.

All we know for certain right now is that Gordon Murray Automotive describes the T.33 as “the world’s finest supercar GT.” Oh, and that it’ll be built at a brand-new facility in Windlesham, Surrey.

Construction work is set to begin soon on a £50m global headquarters for GMA, which will house a factory, a design studio, a test track, a heritage centre and customer sales and servicing suites. Sounds like our idea of heaven.
