The Aston Martin Vulcan has landed

First comes track tuition in an Aston Martin V12 Vantage S. Then a Vantage GT4 racer. And then - after expert tutelage from AM works driver Darren Turner - do you get to drive your very own Aston Martin Vulcan.

And by 'you', we mean of course if 'you' are one of the lucky 24 customers who have bought Aston's £1.8 million, 820bhp, 7.0-litre V12-engined ode to track-day heaven. The company confirmed that the first set of customers have undergone this very process. That's them, above.

The test took place at Abu Dhabi's Formula One circuit - Yas Marina - and each driver was given passenger-side instruction on every lap, while being tested day and night in order to fully experience the car in different atmospheric conditions. So yeah, a bloody good day then.

Darren Turner said: “The priority for all of us on the team was to produce a car that provides immense enjoyment for the customers. Judging by the reactions we have seen this week that goal has been achieved and surpassed."
