The Arrera Automobili Illyrian TSX is a Kosovan supercar with up to 937bhp

Arrera will build carbon-tubbed supercars and says it wants to ‘excel’ in endurance racing…

Published: 14 Jun 2024

Another day, another new supercar for you to get to know. This is the Arrera Automobili Illyrian TSX, and it was on display at the recent Top Marques show in Monaco. Looks brilliant, doesn’t it? Like a Jaguar C-X75 with the face of a Lotus Evija.

Arrera Automobili is based in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, but its cars will be built in Italy. There’s apparently a focus on lightweighting through the use of much carbon fibre, and the company says it has “aspirations to excel in endurance competitions”.

So, to the TSX. It’ll be offered in two forms – the S6 will feature a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 while the S9 will be powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8. Both engines will apparently be bespoke to Arrera, with the V6 producing 651bhp and the V8 a frankly terrifying 937bhp.

The TSX will feature a carbon monocoque and full carbon body panels, so the target weight is 1,250kg. The S6 will apparently generate ‘over 1,500kg of downforce’ with the S9 upping that figure to 2,000kg. Both will get six-speed sequential gearboxes and rear-wheel drive.

The suspension setup will be designed in-house at Arrera and you’ll get forged centrelock wheels and Brembo brakes.

Production will be limited to just 27 units, with prices starting at €1,288,888 before taxes. Yeah, it’s not cheap. Arrera reckons it’ll be able to start deliveries at the end of October this year though. Can it succeed where so many else have failed?
