Ferrari Enzo news - eNzo on eBay - 2008
Eddie Griffin’s Ferrari Enzo is up for sale on eBay.
If you’re in the market for a second-hand family runabout with sensible mileage and a history of slight crash damage, this could be just the car for you… as long as you can stomach the $1,200,000 list price.
Crash damage? Oh yes. Remember this?
In truth, the V12 super-supercar never actually belonged to Griffin. During filming for Redline last year, the Hollywood star borrowed the car from producer Daniel Sadek and, well, the rest is history. Cracked, bent, very expensive history.
According to the seller, the Enzo has been completely repaired following Griffin’s tiny shunt. At a cost of $92,000. Ouch.
Just 400 Enzos have ever been built, with a fair proportion of those already departed to the great car scrapyard in the sky, making them ever-rarer and more expensive.
So with just 7,000 miles on the clock, a 0-60 time of just three seconds and a colourful service history, we heartily recommend this fine example as a surefire way to beat the credit crunch in these straitened financial times. Maybe.
If you are tempted by this once-in-a-lifetime investment opportunity, a quick word of warning: Don’t lend it to your film-star mates.
Actors can’t drive.
