Skoda Fabia RS+ news - Crossing the lime - 2010

Published: 10 May 2010

Whatever the Audi A1 can do, the Skoda Fabia can do in equally dubious taste.

Clearly riled by Audi's attempt to dominate the Worthersee meet with its septet of modified A1s, Skoda will show off a Halfordsed-up version of its new Fabia vRS, badged the RS+, this Wednesday.

It will look something like this sketch, only... less sketchy. Inspired by Skoda's Fabia S2000 rally car, the RS+ gets a blacked-out front grille, black spoilers, a new rear diffuser and big nostrils in the bonnet.

Oh, and those massive limey wheels. As far as we know, the RS+ won't receive a power boost over the vRS's standard 178bhp output, which seems a bit stingy, especially since the RS+ isn't expected to go into production.

Still, it does serve to pique our interest for the arrival of the new vRS. Especially the estate version. Actually, why didn't you make this RS+ an estate, Skoda? We like fast estates.
