Skoda Fabia Estate news - Fab in the dark - 2008
We know you've been waiting with baited breath, huddled round your computers hoping to catch a mere glimpse. So, without further ado, here it is: the first ever official image of the new Skoda Fabia Estate ever. Ever.
Sorry. That probably got your hopes up higher than a booted Czech supermini deserved.
But, in our defence, it arrived under intriguing circumstances: in the TG letterbox this morning was this photo and a short note that said merely: 'You are looking at the first official picture of the new Skoda Fabia Estate.'
Which wasn't quite true, because we were actually looking at a bit of paper that said we were looking at the first official picture of the new Skoda Fabia Estate. But that was it. No more details, no specifications, not even a complimentary pair of tickets to the local owl sanctuary.
However, we can furnish you with a couple of extra details about the estate Fab. It'll use the same range of engines and cost around £900 more than an equivalent hatchback model.
It'll be properly unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show in September and should go on sale at the end of the year. Presumably with a big sticker on the dashboard that reads: 'You are now driving the official new Skoda Fabia Estate.' But no instruction manual.
