Telly news news - More telly news - 2008

Published: 08 Dec 2008

If you didn't see last night's show yet then get on over to iPlayer right now, and when you’re done, get straight back here because we’ve got a load more stuff on all the exciting things that Jeremy, James and Richard were talking about in the news.

Stuff like 156, to start with. That’s how many lunatics there are in the UK right now – or how many electric cars have been sold this year, to put it another way, according to figures released by the guys at Clean Green Cars, who say that the 58 per cent fall in sales is down to changes in legislation.

They also report that NICE – the previously Ford-owned company who showed us this stunning all-electric MPV just this summer – has gone into administration.

What else was in the news? Oh yes, that Mini convertible. They weren’t lying about the Openometer, y’know.

And how about that BBC F1 commentary line-up? Murray Walker and all – what do you think?

We’re keen on this whole 48-hour test drive, too – and it doesn’t have to be a Peugeot 207. Would you prefer a Lexus? Or, er, a Laguna? We’re still working on the 24-hour Ferrari test-out, but we’ll let you know if we have any luck.

Oh, and if you want some of Jeremy’s delicious synthetic saliva, take a look. Yuck.

We're also reluctant to go and have a poke around Heat's website, but if Jeremy won weird crush this year, James last year and Richard the year before, is 2009 Stig's turn? It's surely got to be.
