Hammond on One

Cancel your dinner plans: Richard Hammond is making a guest appearance on The One Show at 7pm this evening on BBC One.

If you've never seen The One Show before, it's sort of a cross between Pebble Mill and Richard and Judy. With added fire. OK, we lied about the fire.

Coincidentally, it's actually filmed in the basement of Fortress Top Gear. Seriously. Sometimes we wear really heavy shoes to irritate Adrian Chiles.

Richard will be chatting about the New Paperback Edition of his autobiography, On The Edge, which, we hear, will be quite similar to the hardback edition but lighter and more convenient to carry round in, say, a handbag or similar.

He'll also be finding out whether it's possible to crash a Volvo - he's an expert on crashing, see - and having a bit of a race with one of the presenters.
