Yeah, you’ll want to buy this 742bhp supercharged Viper

Need something to stand out from the crowd? This should do it

Published: 08 Oct 2020

Not the most subtle thing is it, a bright yellow Dodge Viper with black racing stripes? Still, that’s exactly why you should buy this particular example that’s listed on online auction site The Market right now.

It’s not just the paint that makes it stand out either, because as you’ll be able to tell from some of the aftermarket badging, this is a supercharged Viper that’s putting out 742bhp. Yowser.

Underneath it’s a 2002 second-gen roadster, but before it was imported to the UK in 2005 it was fitted with £77,000-worth of upgrades. Yep, as well as the Roe Racing supercharger, that huge 8.0-litre V10 engine received race-style headers, new cams, a better thermostat and forged internals to help it cope with the significant increase in power. There was also an uprated gearbox, clutch and differential fitted, as well as Koni dampers, bigger brakes, a performance exhaust and Billet power steering. Comprehensive, right?

Having shipped it to our shores (huge respect for that) the new owner then apparently spent £12,000 in parts to give it a full refresh. They even went as far as to fly an engineer over from California to do the work.

It’s done 10,000 miles since that point and only 27,000 miles in its lifetime. Plus, with an estimate of between £46,000 and £65,000 it really does look like a bit of a bargain.

All we ask is that whoever buys it drops the keys round for us to have a go. Send us a message and we’ll arrange a time. Thanks.
