Would you take a chance on this peachy £4k Maserati Quattroporte?
It’s a 23,000-mile Quattroporte III with salmon paint that hasn’t run in a decade. What could go wrong?
Feeling brave? May we present to you this glorious salmon/peach-coloured Maserati Quattroporte from 1983. It’s currently up for auction on The Market, and at the time of writing the highest bid is just £4,350 with two days left to run.
Sounds like a bit of a bargain for a proper, hand-built 4.9-litre V8-engined Italian saloon, doesn’t it? Even more so when you realise it’s only got 23,462 miles on the clock. Okay it’s the three-speed auto, but the Quattroporte III was penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro for goodness sake. Plus, we’re digging the peachy exterior complete with red details and a FULL red leather interior. Now that’s a brave spec, although the seller does suggest that the paint was a later addition after the car left the factory.
Oh, and we should probably mention that this particular Quattroporte comes with no service history, no MOT, no V5 and a few dangly (or completely unattached) mirrors. It also hasn’t been started in around a decade, as the previous owner bought it for a ‘static collection’ in 2012. What a shame.
You’d buy it just for that briar wood-filled interior alone though, wouldn’t you? What a lovely thing.
