We desperately want this one-of-285 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R M-Spec Nur

The way Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R prices are headed, you’d be forgiven for thinking it was forged by Thor Odinson’s hammer and powered by Tony Stark’s Arc Reactor. And that’s for mere standard examples, so have a guess how much this one-of-285 ‘M-Spec Nur’ edition from the car’s final production year could go for?

The bid sits at £119,000 at the time of writing, but any racer, any real racer will tell you that’s destined to shoot up considerably before the auction concludes in the middle of next week. But in some ways, the price is justified since it remains in factory spec and better condition than the Marvel Cinematic Universe at present. Ready for some details?

The body is finished in a glorious shade of Pearl White, and accompanied by a set of gold-painted Brembo brakes, forged six-spoke alloys and a stainless steel exhaust. A carbon rear diffuser and adjustable rear wing have also been thrown in for good measure, but the pick of the bunch is the rear window wiper. Isn’t it just magnificent?

Pop the bonnet and you’ll unearth the sonorous twin-turbo RB26 six-cylinder, which should produce around 276bhp and 298lb ft of torque. Though, even Jon Snow knows these numbers were fiddled, and much higher in actual truth. And remember, he doesn’t know a damn thing. This grunt is then sent through a six-speed manual to an all-wheel drive system, and accompanied by a limited-slip rear differential for some serious grip.

The interior feels like a time capsule, and rightfully so: this was Japan’s golden era, after all. Among the accessories is: a CD player! A DVD drive! A comically vintage LCD screen! The heated seats have also been reupholstered in black with yellow stitching, and actually look rather lovely.

So, it’s all shaping up nicely for the future owner of this R34. But there’s a pretty big catch: the advert says this car could’ve received a potential odometer rollback from 107,000 miles to its currently stated... 24,000.
