This original Morris Mini has covered 272 miles from new

If you fancy an almost-new Mini that was built in 1967, step this way

Published: 05 Sep 2019

The original Morris Mini you see in the images above is currently being sold by classic car specialist Woodham Mortimer. It’s currently under offer, and our question to you dear TG readers, is how much do you think it’s going to sell for?

You can let us know your guesstimates in the comments below, but first we’ll be so kind as to offer a few more details...

This particular Mini Super De Luxe was built in 1967, before being registered and delivered to its first owner - Mrs B Jones - in 1968. Mrs B Jones (it feels as though we should use her full title, for some reason) had bought the little blighter to learn to drive in, but was apparently ‘unsuccessful in her endeavours’ according to the current sellers.

As such, the Super De Luxe was garaged and remained there until it was auctioned by Mrs B Jones’ family a couple of years ago. That means there’s just 272 miles on the clock, and the Mini is in proper time warp condition.

There are original details all over the place that would usually be lost. The plastic seat covers, white door stickers and the cardboard labels for the optional safety belts are all as they would have been when this car rolled out of the factory. It really is a sight to behold. And check out the brightness of that red interior. Phewf.

So, it’s for sale, and in the year that Mini is celebrating its 60th birthday too. How much do you reckon it’ll go for?
