This Iso Rivolta GT Zagato is up for sale for $1.35m
Carbon-bodied, Vette-engined supercar is the only one of its kind in the US…
Live in the US and fancy a supercar that’ll stand out from the crowd? You couldn’t do much better than this – the only Iso Rivolta GT Zagato in North America.
What a glorious thing. Zagato first unveiled the Iso Grifo A3/C tribute back in August last year, and this one is up for sale with delivery mileage for the not-insignificant sum of $1.35m.
Seems like a lot for something that starts life as a C7 Corvette Z06, doesn’t it? The engine and gearbox remain as standard in the Vette too – although that does mean a 660bhp 6.2-litre LT4 V8 and an eight-speed auto gearbox. Plus, the original A3/C did rather well with its American underpinnings.
The GT Zagato (GTZ for short) undergoes a 2,500 hour transformation in Milan, with full, retro-inspired carbon fibre bodywork and a completely retrimmed interior. In fact, no panel or exterior component is shared with the Corvette.
Zagato also ensures that the GTZ gets more luggage space than its donor car – it’s supposed to be a proper GT – and only 19 examples will ever be built. This particular one actually won its class at The Quail during Monterey Car Week this year.
