A Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 with a gated manual will now set you back over a *million* dollars
Yep, Lambo’s Noughties supercar has reached hypercar prices. So what do you get in return for your investment?
Foremost, have you ever seen a more attractive Murcielago? That paint code is dubbed ‘Blu Ely’, and it doesn’t half do a job of setting off the 'Bianco Polar' interior. It’s currently up for sale at Canada-based August Luxury Motorcars for over a million dollars. Ouch.
Or is it really ouch? Because this LP640’s 6.5-litre V12 relays 631bhp and 487lb ft of torque to all four wheels. And check this: all that fury is channelled through a six-speed gated manual. Remember those things? Here, it’ll help you hit 62mph in 3.4 seconds, before redlining at 205.
It also sits right at the heart of a diamond-quilted cabin, which features actual physical buttons for vehicle settings and a Kenwood media display. It’s all very analogue. We like.
The Murci's aged rather well, too, somehow more subtle than the wild angles of the Aventador and Revuelto, and yet still so... Lambo. And yes, 'subtle' was never something we thought we'd write in a sentence about a Lamborghini Murcielago.
Then there’s the central exit exhaust, which likely dwarfs the dimensions of yer average tunnel bridge, and an exposed engine bay that’s viewed through the rear window.
So, with current conversion rates valuing this car at a touch over £800,000, it’s in a comparable price bracket to the Ferrari SF90 XX. But which would you rather have as the centrepiece for your weekend toy stash?
