Question of the Week: how would *you* launch a new season’s Formula One cars?
F1's red carpet bash got, er, mixed reviews. So come on armchair experts, tell 'em how it should be done
Last week saw the first red carpet event of the 2025 Formula One season - a big, glitzy, arena-based reveal of this year's shiny new cars (read: liveries). And it was largely met with... mixed reviews. So, how’d you do it?
Here’s a suggestion: what about firing the cars out of a cannon with a slew of confetti giving chase and a great big memory foam mattress for them to land on? May as well paint a dart board on top and get Luke Littler to play the gunner.
Or how about sending the cars through Blackwall Tunnel and into a synchronised drift around the O2? Because let’s face it: last week’s reveal would’ve been more exciting if Alonso did just that in the AMR25. Probably because he’d have stopped halfway through to wonder why his teammate was in a cloud of smoke outside Costa.
Over to you then, readers. Let us know how you’d go about revealing a new season’s Formula One cars, and expect the most creative ideas to feature in Friday’s result post. This one should be fun.
