A music and cars video special

You wait all year for amusing car-based pop videos, and then two drop into the TG.com in-box at once.

First up is rapper MIA, who you may remember from her mega-hit Paper Planes or “being the one who raised her middle finger at last night’s Superbowl”. She has flown out to the Middle East (from whence TG.com has recently returned), to film a sandy video among some rather impressive front-wheel-drive drifting from the locals.

And then came the latest promo from OK Go, a band probably most famous for their equally ingenious video featuring treadmills. This time they’ve teamed up Chevrolet to make something ridiculous and excellent in equal measures involving an Aveo and many, many musical instruments.

We eagerly await Justin Bieber’s Ssangyong tribute.
