Transformers 4 gets a Lambo Aventador
We just thought you might like to know that director Michael Bay has cast a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 in his upcoming Transformers movie, Transformers 4. This is good news.
Clearly, the Lambo is building quite a CV for itself. While its latest job could potentially entail being spectacularly disassembled with fire and noise on the set of a movie advertising shape-shifting toy cars, its cinematic debut came in no less a film than The Dark Knight Rises. There, it was stolen by Catwoman, and then repossessed by the Gotham Police Department. Pity.

No word on what capacity the Lambo will be performing in Transformers 4, but hey, any movie with a car boasting 700bhp from a 6.5-litre V12 as one of the stars is probably worth paying attention to. Probably. We drove one across Italy last month to celebrate Lamborghini's 50th anniversary - in convoy with 349 other Lamborghinis - and, well, it was a fitting tribute to say the least.

Oh, and it appears The World is quite enamoured with this Lamborghini too: the company announced that the 2,000th Aventador has rolled off the production line, headed for the garage of Thaddeus Arroyo, a ‘highly-ranked' executive for AT&T. 2,000 in just two years; it took the Murcielago five years to hit this figure.
Elsewhere, Bay has also confirmed an Oshkosh Defence truck called ‘Hound'. Judging by the not-so-subtle robot face plastered on the side of the teaser pic, we're guessing this one's an Autobot. That's a goodie.
Have a click through the rest of the gallery, where you'll find a new, updated Optimus Prime based on a custom-built truck from Western Star, an old '67 Camaro SS (that's Bumblebee) and the 1200bhp Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse...
