New trailer for ‘Rush’
Here, for your delectation, is a brand spanking new trailer for the upcoming movie Rush. It is about the 1976 battle between James Hunt and Niki Lauda. And it looks great.
Set for release in September, it recreates the dramatic 1976 Formula One season and two very unique individuals campaigning it. And what drama; Lauda of course, had his last rites read to him following his fiery crash at the Nürburgring during ‘76, only to return six weeks later to continue racing. And then there's Hunt, legendary philanderer and the closest thing Formula One had to a rock star.

It's got a stellar crew involved, too. Chris Hemsworth - yes, Thor - is Hunt, Daniel Brühl (from Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds) is Lauda, it's being directed by Oscar-winner Ron Howard, shot by Oscar-winner Anthony Dod Mantle, and written by Oscar-nominee Peter Morgan (he wrote Frost/Nixon and The Queen). Oh, and one of the producers made Senna.
Last year we brought you sneak pictures from the film shoot at the Nürburgring, before which we visited Morgan and co on set. He assured us that Rush "will be about the people involved rather than the sport itself". With characters like Hunt and Lauda, that can only be a good thing...
