Look at this Aston Martin DB5 in a special box
Life-size Corgi box/toy is on display in London to mark the release of the new Bond film
Not long to go now before the release of the much delayed 25th James Bond film, No Time to Die. To mark the occasion Aston Martin – of which there are many in the new film – has teamed-up with Corgi to build a life-size version of that toy DB5 you either owned or desperately wanted when you were a kid.
The 5.66 metre long, 2.7 metre tall and 2.7 metre deep box is a faithful recreation of the model’s original packaging from 1965. The box your Bond DB5 came in may have looked a bit different depending on how old you are – the model has been in production on and off for the last 56 years, in which time over 20 million have been sold.
The DB5 ensconced within that lovely big box is… an actual DB5. A Goldfinger Continuation DB5 to be precise, as driven by TG.com right here. Aston is building 25, all with working gadgets, at £2.75million plus tax each.
The box and car within are on display outside Battersea Power Station in London until 1 October.
