Move over Singer, this is a Porsche 356 and 911 mash-up

Ever since Singer arrived on the scene in 2009, everyone has wanted a piece of the restomod Porsche pie – but none so far have held a candle to Rob Dickinson’s creations. So, if you want to stand out from the crowd these days, you need to do something different.

Different is one way to describe this Emory Motorsports Porsche 356 C4S. Drop-dead gorgeous is another.

Produced for a client who wanted to take his car skiing on the east coast of America, this is a one-of-a-kind project that marries a 1964 Porsche 356C body (perhaps the most beautiful car ever produced in Stuttgart) with an all-wheel-drive 1990s 911 chassis.

Sacrilege, some might say. But surely not when it looks this good and the end result is something so usable and – dare we say it about a classic Porsche – utilitarian-looking.

Christened the ‘AllRad’ by its owner, the addition of those chunky tyres and black steel wheels, along with a bespoke roof rack, make this perhaps the most surprising off-roader on earth.

It’ll certainly shift too. The combination of a 200bhp Emory-Rothsport four-cylinder engine and a kerb weight of just 975kg will ensure that this thing gives plenty of modern metal a run for its money at the lights.

Creating a stand-out restomod is all about the details, and with a Momo Heritage steering wheel, a gorgeously green interior and those yellow headlight lenses, everything on the AllRad screams modern-retro.
