VIDEO: Rain of terror
As we might have mentioned once or twice, it's the Silverstone Grand Prix this weekend. We know it will be wet, and - with arguably the greatest line-up of F1 drivers ever to grace a British GP - we expect it shall play host to some Heroic Driving.
But can anything at Silverstone possibly be as wet and heroic as this astonishing moment of bravery/madness from the recent Formula 2 race at Spa?
The driver is 19-year-old Dino Zamparelli, the weather is atrocious and the avoid-and-save is - well, we've never seen anything quite like it. We defy you not to wince while watching this one.
Responding to criticism he might have ignored a yellow flag, Zamparelli said: "We had already passed the incident that caused the yellow flags. If you look at the car ahead, he was actually pulling away from me up Eau Rouge. Someone then slowed down on the straight line after Eau Rouge and that caused everyone to bunch up."
Everyone, that is, apart from the titanium-testicled Signore Zamparelli, who took what we like to call ‘The Wimbledon Route' - sliding ambitiously over sodden grass - to gain a handful of places and a whole lot of respect.
Messrs Hamilton, Button and Raikkonen, the gauntlet has been thrown down. Top this if you can...
