Video: racer catches oversteer at 137mph
Nismo driver Ricardo Sanchez corrects a massive slide in GT3 GT-R. At speed
Here is a brief, terrifying video of what it looks like to encounter a smidge of oversteer at high speed.
Specifically, 137mph - or 220km/h. It's onboard footage from a Nismo GT-R GT3 racer being piloted by Nissan GT Academy graduate Ricardo Sanchez.
It was shot during qualifying at the Nürburgring round of last year's Blancpain series. Coming through a left and then immediately into a right before the straight, Sanchez gets caught out... for a millisecond, before catching a sliding Godzilla at speed.
Sheesh.
How to correct oversteer ? here is a good example at 220km in the @NISMO GT-R GT3 @GTAcademy If in doubt flat out! pic.twitter.com/xjDTdL7jeH
