Video: listen to the glorious 1969 Ferrari 312P in action
V12-engined racer opens its lungs at Monza during historic event. Time to turn it up
Should you want to engender a sense of community, cohesion and peace to a world fraught with disaster and chaos, please play this video to as many people as you can.
It is footage taken from a recent historic racing event at Monza. Monza is in Italy, and is one of the coolest circuits on earth. The car in question is an old, 1969 Ferrari 312P Berlinetta – also made in Italy – here opening its V12-engined lungs for all the world to appreciate.
And it’s got a good set of lungs on it. That 450hp V12-engined 312P – not to be confused with the flat-twelve 312P of 1971 – was built for endurance racing at the end of the '60s, entering the 12 hours of Sebring and the Le Mans 24hrs, too. It's also proof that sometimes, only a V12 will do.
Turn it up. And note also the rev counter going all the way up to 13…
