Official: Ferrari’s new ‘Enzo’ teased

Published: 10 Jan 2013

You've been waiting for quite some time, so here's a tiny reward for your patience: new, official teaser shots of the next Ferrari F150 "limited series supercar".

It's the new Ferrari ‘Enzo'.

Sadly, these shots are all we've got for the time being, but we know for sure that this top-end supercar will be something very special indeed. It'll use a development of the 6.3-litre V12 currently doing wonderful service in the 730bhp F12, in combination with Ferrari's new and exciting Hy-Kers electric hybrid system.

Ferrari CEO Amadeo Felisa told TopGear.com last year that adding a hybrid system "is the best way to increase performance while reducing emissions". Handily, he notes, it's "also the best way of keeping the V12 engine architecture which, as you know, Ferrari is very committed too." That's Very Good News.

The new system features a rear-mounted electric motor helping the V12, with a second electric motor at the front feeding the ancillaries. You can expect around 850bhp, together with materials farmed from the outer reaches of our solar system. You can thank the firm's Formula One expertise for that, which has filtered through into its supercars for decades.

We'll bring you more as soon as we know it, but for now, here's your first taster of what the fastest, cleanest and most technologically advanced Ferrari will look like. Excited?
