Citroen news - Limited edition Loeb - 2007

Published: 10 Jan 2007

Sebastien Loeb may have been driving for a 'privateer' rally team in 2006, but he's back with a full factory Citroen C4 WRC this year and to celebrate he's sullied his name by lending it to a couple of special edition models.

These cars will be called C4 by Loeb and C2 by Loeb, although no one is saying how much is actually 'by Loeb'. We suspect very little other than the name.

There are some flared wheel arches and funky alloys, but the C4 version retains its standard 180bhp 2.0-litre engine. Alternatively, you can go for the 1.6-litre turbodiesel model with 110bhp.

It's the same story with the C2, which has the same 25bhp 1.6 petrol engine as any other C2 VTS.

There are 400 of the C4 by Loeb editions coming to the UK, and 310 of the C2s.

The C2 by Loeb will cost £9,995, the C4 by Loeb 1.6 is priced at £12,795, and the 2.0 at £14,995. All models will come with a numbered plaque.
