Video: this is Hennessey's 808bhp Dodge Viper on a dyno run

The standard, not-at-all slow Dodge Viper has a 8.4-litre V10 with a hearty 645bhp. Send this Viper to the John Hennessey School of Motoring however, and you'll return with something a bit spikier.

Because thanks to a new high-flow supercharger system that forms the bones of Hennessey's new upgrade pack, you can burn your rear tyres to the tune of 808bhp (at the crank), and a whopping 790lb ft of torque.

The supercharger gets 5psi of boost pressure, and matches up to an air-to-air intercooler system, high flow fuel injectors, a new ECU and a stainless steel exhaust system.

Elsewhere, the upgrade pack includes floormats, some badges and plaques, and a one year/12,000 mile warranty. Reassuring.
