This tuned BMW M2 Competition has 621bhp
Manhart wants to send the current M2 Comp out with a bang
Remember when German tuner Manhart got its hands on the BMW M2 CS and gave it 592bhp? Well, it’s now gone a step further with that car’s baby brother. Say hello to the M2 Competition-based MH2 630.
This is actually Manhart’s farewell to the second-gen M2, so it really has pulled out all the stops. Just check out that monster rear wing from the M235i racecar. And then there’s the interior – the roll cage, Recaros and rear seat delete are all pretty serious, aren’t they?
That’s because Manhart has fiddled with the 3.0-litre straight six to bring its power output up to 621bhp and 553lb ft of torque. Blimey. That comes from a ‘turbo performance kit’, CSF intercooler and remap, and there’s a full Manhart flap-controlled exhaust so everyone knows about your extra power.
It’s not just engine work though, there’s also the brakes from an M4 GT4 racecar and an adjustable KW suspension kit. The wheels are 19-inch aluminium units and thankfully you don’t have to have the Manhart graphics. Phew.
Thoughts, internet?
