The Techart GTstreet R Touring is a 911 Turbo S which does 217mph

If you fall into the 0.01 per cent of people who think the Porsche 911 Turbo S is woefully lacking in power, speed and aggression, German tuning house Techart is offering a limited-run of its upgraded 992-generation Turbo S, called the ‘GTstreet R Touring’. As if the 911 range wasn’t complicated enough already.

You’ve got two powertrain upgrades to choose from: the first is the snappily titled ‘TAO92/T1.1’ kit which not only rolls off the tongue, but jumps the 3.7-litre flat-six to 719bhp and sends 663lb ft of torque to the road through Porsche’s trusty all-wheel drive system. 

Or, if that shade of brown isn’t quite brown enough, you can have Techart’s most powerful engine to date in its yet-snappier titled ‘TAO92/T2.1’ modification. The result? A Turbo S with 811bhp, 700lb ft of torque and a top speed of 217mph. Yeesh.

The new aero-focussed body kit is headlined first and foremost by the not-at-all-conspicuous ducktail spoiler, and furthered by bulbous carbon attachments that merge to form one running unit right around the car’s lower sections. It’s rounded off by aggressive 10-spoke alloys finished in a choice of five colours. 

Techart has also added a custom, hand-welded sports exhaust system to enhance the Turbo S’s already spirited howl, so pedestrians will likely get the brownies too.

The interior has also seen some attention, now adopting a more relaxed two-tone finish and extra patterns incorporated along the upholstery, door sills and dashboard. Aside from the Techart badges and what appears to be a more suede-themed finish along the pillars and roof, most of the instruments, clusters and switchgear remain standard.

The enquiry forms are now open for those interested, though a price isn’t quoted. Given the standard 2024 Turbo S already starts at over £180,000, a sensible guess would place the Techart GTstreet R Touring... at much, much more than that.
