One-off Lamborghini up for auction

  • They designed the Lamborghini Miura, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint and, erm, the Vauxhall Astra coupe/cabrio. And now, six of their most classic cars are going up for auction.

This summer, RM Auctions' Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este sale will offer up six classic cars from the famed Italian coachbuilder Bertone, one of those being that rather striking one-off Lamborghini Marzal you see above.

The 1967 Lambo is a prototype, and was driven by Prince Ranier and Princess Grace at the start of the '67 Monaco GP. The estimated sale price, since you asked, is around £1.5 million.

Elsewhere in this bundle of automotive classics sit the first prototype Lancia Stratos HF Zero, a 1963 Chevy Testudo (with a one-piece windscreen/roof), a 1974 Lamborghini Bravo and a 1980 Lamborghini Athon.

Interested? The auction kicks off on 21 May in Italy. A remortgage may be necessary. Click through to see why...
