Novitec’s take on the Maserati Levante is um… interesting
Another day, another modified SUV. This time with 615bhp
This is the Novitec Maserati Levante Esteso V2, and we should instantly apologise for potentially ruining your day/next meal.
Not the best-looking Novitec creation, is it? The German tuner seems to flip between understated designs (like on its stunning Ferrari 488 Pista) and slightly more outlandish looks, as seen both here and on the McLaren 720S.
Anyway, to the Levante. Novitec initially got hold of one back in 2017, but the V2 is based on the new top-spec Trofeo, complete with its Ferrari-sourced 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8.
As standard the Trofeo produces a miniscule 572bhp and a completely insufficient 538lb ft of torque, but luckily Novitec realised this was nowhere near enough. A quick ECU update now means 615bhp, 605lb ft of torque and 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds. Much better.
This is combined with angry new bumpers at the front and rear, a bare carbon fibre spoiler plus hood scoop and a widebody kit that means the Levante measures a wholly-inappropriate 2.09-meters across.
There’s also what Novitec describes as ‘king-sized’ 22-inch wheels and the suspension has been dropped by 25mm.
Thoughts, Internet?
