Novitec’s take on the Ferrari Roma is surprisingly subtle

Well, the exterior mods are. The twin-turbo V8 now makes almost 700bhp…

Given that the Roma uses Ferrari’s ever-present 3.9-litre twin turbo V8, we’re surprised it’s taken Novitec this long to create its own version. Maybe the time was spent employing new, more restrained designers though?

The exterior upgrades are remarkably subtle compared to the German tuner’s usual work. We actually think it might have improved the Roma. In case you can’t spot the differences, there’s a touch more carbon on the front lip, a teeny new rear spoiler and an extra vertical insert in the diffuser. Very nice.

Novitec will also fit new centre-lock forged wheels courtesy of Vossen, new suspension and pretty much any interior mod you can think of. Go on, go wild in there.

The engine is where most attention has been focused. Novitec’s new ECU ups power from 612bhp to 694bhp. There’s a hefty 651lb ft of torque now too, and the 0-62mph time drops from 3.4secs to 3.2secs.

Thoughts, Internet?
