Manhart's BMW M240i tuning pack gives it more power than an M2

Want to one-up your M2-owning friends? Manhart turns the 240i up to 11

Published: 23 Jan 2025

BMW’s ‘B58’ engine is a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six with lots of potential, and Manhart’s latest upgrade for the G42 series M240i looks to exploit just that with a significant power bump.

Dubbed the ‘MH2 500 II’ package, a new power box, intake manifold and intercooler all combine to increase the output from 369bhp to 510bhp, putting it beyond even the M2. A stainless steel exhaust with valve technology is also included for a more ferocious soundtrack.

Guessing the M240i's 0-62mph time of 4.3s might come down a bit, and since the M240i comes with Bimmer’s trusty xDrive system, you'll be able to get that power to stick. Manhart will also throw in a coilover kit from KW, along with upgraded brakes should you wish.

Manhart’s customary black/gold livery makes way for a pastel blue theme with black accents. Then come a set of white twin-spoke 'Concave One' alloys, along with a reworked aero kit which features a new front bumper, side skirts and rear diffuser, with a flat wing out back. Lightly aggressive.

As usual, the cost depends on just how many of these options are selected since the kit can be tailored to what customers want, but do consider a new M240i alone will set you back at least £48k.
