Manhart has modified a single BMW M5 CS to 777bhp

Because what the most powerful BMW M car ever made really needed was an extra 151bhp

Published: 30 Aug 2021

Welcome, members of the Internet, to what we think might be the world’s first modified BMW M5 CS. Yeah, because 626bhp, 553lb ft of torque and 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds was never going to be enough for some people…

This is the work of German tuners Manhart. It’s called the MH5 GTR and apparently just one will ever be built. Best get in there quick if you fancy it, then.

Manhart says power from the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 now stands at a mind boggling 777bhp and 690lb ft of torque. Crikey. That’s thanks to a new ECU, a carbon air intake and a new valve-controlled stainless steel exhaust system.

There’s also an adjustable spring kit supplied by KW, massive 21-inch wheels and an obvious lack of the CS’s gold touches. Nice.

What do we think of the one-off, folks?
