The Manhart Cayenne CRT 800 is a 796bhp coupe-SUV
Need to move that pesky mountain a little to the left? Manhart has the answer
Welcome to the Manhart Cayenne CRT 800. This is the German tuner’s take on the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe, and there’s no easy way of saying this so we’ll come out with it straight away… it now has 796bhp and 804lb ft of torque.
Those hypercar-chasing figures are still produced by Porsche’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, but Manhart upgrades the turbochargers, fits a new intercooler and replaces the ECU to get there. There’s no word on what it does to the 0-62mph time, but you can bet it’s quicker than the standard car’s 3.9 second sprint, and it’s probably a little nippier than the 3.3 seconds of the bonkers 631bhp Cayenne Turbo GT Coupe too.
Fancy all that power in a coupe-SUV? There’s a new Manhart exhaust system too to let people know you’re coming, although that’s if they haven’t already seen all the gold stripes and graphics. The wheels are new 22-inch units and the standard air suspension has been adjusted to sit 35mm lower.
Thankfully Manhart has left the interior alone on the example you see above, but it does say that it can be ‘configured individually according to customer requirements’. Uh oh. There’ll soon be an optional front spoiler and rear diffuser too, with both made from carbon fibre.
