How sweet is this little roofless version of the Fiat Topolino?

Italian coachbuilder removes the rolling canvas roof from the Topolino. Adds a folding canvas roof instead

Published: 27 Jun 2024

Fingers crossed those Fiat Topolinos that were seized by Italian customs in May have been released, because we want our one to be transformed by coachbuilder Castagna Milano. Never before has a set of renders melted so many TG hearts in one go.

The Italian coachbuilder has form in this department – it recently chopped the top off an electric Fiat 500 and added much wood, but the Topolino makes for an even cuter little spiaggina vehicle. Well, it does if you live within around 20 miles of said beach since its 5.5kWh battery only provides a maximum of 47 miles of range.

Castagna Milano has said that it’ll build short and long versions of its decked out Topolino, with the short transformation starting at €25,000 and the longer, yacht-like one at €35,000. We’d go for the extended version with room for a bucket and spade in the back.

“Topolino puts on his favourite wood and goes to sea in short and long version. Finally a Spiaggina for everyone,” says the coachbuilder’s press announcement. Too cute.
