Feast your eyes on Hurtan’s special edition 30th anniversary Grand Albaycín
Spanish brand launches some special colours and interior trims to celebrate its 30th birthday
If we’re perfectly honest, we weren’t totally aware that Spanish brand Hurtan was turning 30 years old in 2022. Still, apparently its founder Juan Hurtado built his first car – the Hurtan T2 – back in 1992, so there’s now a special edition to celebrate.
And what a special edition it is…
There’s not actually too much difference from the standard Mazda MX-5-based Grand Albaycín that we first saw back in early 2021, but it’s always worth having another look at the bonkers 1930s, 1950s, 1960s and 2010s mashup.
We’re told you can have the 30th anniversary car in one of three exterior colours (midnight blue, cherry red or lead grey) and with two different interior trims (presumably the ones you see in the images above). There’s also a special emblem on the seats and an engraved plaque elsewhere in the interior.
And that’s about it, although the standard Grand Albaycín/MX-5 choice of soft- or hard-top and 1.5- or 2.0-litre engine remains.
So, what do we think, Internet? Fancy getting in on Hurtan’s 30th birthday celebrations?
