Brabus will now give your 911 Turbo S Cabriolet 809bhp
Roofless 992 Turbo S not tearing enough of your hair out? Brabus has the answer
This is the Brabus 820, and as with the Rolls-Royce Ghost the German tuner showed off earlier this week, you’ll have noticed it’s not a Mercedes.
Yep, this is more of Brabus branching out. This time it’s got hold of a Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, though the recipe is still very much the same; more power, more carbon and more leather.
So, the 992’s 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six is given all-new turbochargers, an ECU remap and an Inconel exhaust for an almost terrifying total of 809bhp and 701lb ft of torque. The Turbo S Cabrio was not slow to begin with. Brabus claims a new 0-62mph time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed limited to 211mph. Rather sensibly though, it’ll also give you a three-year/62,000-mile warranty to go with it. Thanks Brabus.
The carbon bits include a new front splitter, a diffuser and a rather large rear wing that lifts with the same section on the standard car. The wheels are new forged items that measure 21-inches up front and 22 at the rear, while the suspension has been adapted with new height-adjustable Brabus sport springs.
What do we think, folks?
