The 2,500bhp twin-turbo tank-engined Crown Vic lives!

Essentially, Swede Daniel Werner is fitting a 27-litre V12 Rolls-Royce Meteor engine into the front of an ex-US police Ford Crown Vic. He’s then twin turbocharging it just for good measure, and is hoping on around 3,800lb ft of torque and 2,500bhp. Yeah, it’ll be a monster.

Oh, and in case there wasn’t already enough reason to crown Werner ‘madman of the year’, he has now announced that the Meteor Interceptor will take on the Nürburgring when it is finished later this year. It’s worth noting here, though, that projections show on full throttle the 85-litre fuel tank will be drained in around four minutes.

Werner began the project back in 2017, so it’s a fairly momentous occasion to see the car start for the very first time.
