ABT has built a one-off Audi RS6 with 725bhp
"ABT has decided to take the last of just 50 ABT RS6+ models and apply some Nogaro Edition tweaks. So this is the ABT Audi RS6+ Nogaro. And it has 725bhp.
"Because of course, the standard RS6 was so painfully slow. Not. ABT has fitted its own ECU to the RS6’s mighty twin-turbo V8, which, we’re told, “continuously adjusts 25 parameters ensuring greatest possible power with best possible engine protection”. So, 725bhp, and a fat 679lb ft of torque..."

"Car of the Year is the oldest and most widely-known of all car awards. After a second round of driving and voting, the award goes to a single car, with no sub-classes. Last year’s winner was the Volvo XC40.
"It’s an interesting group of finalists this time, with the Alpine and electric Jaguar I-Pace making an appearance..."
Hamilton and Vettel send Alonso off with DONUTS
"Anyhow, Lewis Hamilton won the last race, followed by Sebastian Vettel, and on the slow-down lap after the race ended, these two multiple world champions formed a guard of honour, flanking Alonso’s McLaren as the Spaniard made his way back to the start/finish straight.
"Once there, they all indulged in a spot of donuting to please the crowd..."

"The new i3s is slightly more powerful than the i3, at 183bhp vs 170. Torque is up from 184lb ft to 199. Hardly enough of a difference to matter. What you will notice is it sits on a wider track and firmed-up springs, anti-roll bars and dampers.
"The result is it’s the most fun to drive of all the affordable EVs..."
Review: Aston DBS Superleggera in the UK
"There’s something fundamentally very satisfying about driving this car down a B-road. I thought it would feel too big, I thought it would get fractious and fail to manage its weight (1,693kg dry, about 1,840kg with fluids), and most of all I thought the orange light would flicker constantly.
"None of this was true..."
Arkonik Gryphon D110: have we reached peak modified Defender?
"Are there any standard Land Rover Defenders left? After Twisted, Kahn and Arkonik have finished ‘reimagining’ them, will there be any tatty honest Defender farm hacks remaining? Likely not. Here we have the results of British outfit Arkonik’s latest Defender project. Pleasing enough to not make us lament the demise of the ungentrified Defender..."
Aston DBS Superleggera vs the stopwatch
"While we had the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera we thought it would be fun to see just how fast this Super GT goes. Now, on the surface the DBS doesn’t look that fast. Well, not in the land of 700bhp supercars..."

"It’s called the Ghiath, and though it’s apparently based on humble Chevrolet Suburban underpinnings, it’s had a thorough reworking inside and out courtesy of W Motors, the Dubai-based supercar maker responsible for the low-volume Lykan Hypersport. Small wonder this Ghiath contraption looks so… angry."
This Merc S-Class concept has flashing lights to help humans
"Mercedes thinks the idea might be flashing lights. Makes sense, on face value. We already depend on flashing lights to interpret when a car nearby is intending to make a turn. Or to give way. Or to bully its way past in a badly timed overtake. (Only one of these scenarios applies to Audi drivers.)"

"Next year, Automobili Pininfarina will show off something that’s almost 90 years in the making: its very own luxury car. Not a collaboration with another company, not a concept… 100 per cent Pininfarina. Welcome then, to the car codenamed PF0.
"This image, revealed today, shows off the 1,900bhp EV’s new design language, dubbed ‘Pura’. A design language that will soon be spread across an entire range of Pininfarina-branded cars..."
Novitec’s tuned McLaren 720S is nearly as extreme as a Senna
"Since it’s been, ooh, about twenty-five minutes since McLaren revealed a new extremely fast car with controversial styling, the folks at German supercar tuning firm Novitec have stepped in while Woking has a coffee break. Meet the Novitec 720S N-Largo..."
Review: the new Mercedes-Benz B-Class
"People carriers aren’t very fashionable. On the other hand Mercedes, more than most, should be able to make a decent fist of their template. It’s all about roomy, comfy, passenger-first travel.
"So here’s another generation of B-Class. The first two have quietly done decent business – 1.5 million of the things have been sold since 2005. It’s just that no-one seems to have noticed, which says a lot..."
Ferrari's latest one-off special is an F12 tdf speedster
"Hiding beneath its roadster body is an F12 tdf, one of the lairier Ferraris of recent years. If you need a reminder, that means a 769bhp 6.3-litre V12 that’ll rev to the heavens and spin the rear wheels if you dare be the slightest bit clumsy. It’s an enthralling car, and removing all semblance of a roof ought to feed even more of its nape-prickling noise right into your ears. Wonderful..."
Toyota is taking the new Corolla racing
"Good news, touring car fans – the new Toyota Corolla will compete in next year’s British Touring Car Championship.
"Set to make its debut as the road car goes on sale next spring, the racing Corolla will be prepared and run by Speedworks Motorsport, one of the BTCC’s more successful independent teams..."
Pininfarina could build its own shooting brake in the future
"The realisation of the Automobili Pininfarina PF0 hypercar has been nearly 90 years in the making; a dream first envisioned by Pininfarina founder Battista all those years ago when he wanted his own road car.
"In 2020, we’ll see the PF0. After that? Well, perhaps a sports activity vehicle or even a shooting brake. Yep, Pininfarina, one of the most storied design houses of our age, is planning on rolling out a range of fully electric, luxury cars under its new banner..."
Yes, this is an Audi self-driving flying taxi car drone…thing
"What happens when carmaker Audi, planemaker Airbus and car styling house Italdesign unite to create the most futuristic techno-mobility vehicle possible?
"In a word, this. The Audi Flying Taxi Concept, set to be presented at Amsterdam’s Drone Week exhibition. An electric car – which can drive itself – and be collected by a pilotless electric drone for airborne traffic dodging. Brave new world…"
Take a closer look at the Kia Stinger GT S
"This is the first ever rear-wheel-drive Kia sports car. Developed by a man who used to work at BMW’s M Division. And with a seven year warranty! Can this new Stinger really mix it with the likes of BMW and Audi?"
Nick Heidfeld wasn't even *trying* on his record Goodwood lap
"'I didn’t think I was doing anything special on that lap,' he tells us. 'It was not on the limit. It looked aggressive, because the car was moving and following each camber...'"
The new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk costs £90k
"Jeep has decided to bring the Trackhawk to the UK. Officially. Dealer sanctioned, warrantied and so on. We’re told 20 will be available by the end of this year, with up to 100 being offered in total, each priced at £89,999. About half what an Urus costs and with all the performance. OK, OK, the figures say the Urus is 10mph faster (190mph) at the top end and 0.1secs faster to 62mph (3.6secs), but it doesn’t roll out of the showroom boasting over 700 brake, does it?"
The Nissan Leaf Nismo RC is a great-looking EV racer
"Nissan promises us the new Leaf Nismo RC shares a few parts with the ordinary, road-going Leaf. The lithium-ion battery and power inverters, for example, it says are exactly the same components it uses in the standard car. But we suspect that’s where the part-sharing ends because, well, just look at this thing…"
