We drive the Porsche 935, plus get an early ride in the new Land Rover Defender
Porsche 935 review: £750k track-racer tested
"This is the new Porsche 935, a ‘single-seater, near-standard, non-homologated racing car’ according to Porsche. But more prosaically, it’s a 911 GT2 RS-based, 77-car track toy that pays homage to the monster 911 endurance racer from 1978 - the one they called ‘Moby Dick’. Basically a re-bodied GT2 RS ClubSport. With extra bits. Quite a few extra bits. And we got to drive it as hard as we wanted to, even though it was all a bit intimidating."

"Top notch Japanese muscle car, with a lot of heart. But falls short of the championship contender it needs to be."
Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro review: too much for UK roads?
"An AMG GT that’s ready for an audition for next year’s Love Island. It’s been to the gym, got swole and then had a cosmetic facelift (check out those new, slightly squinter headlights) so it looks – what do people from Essex say? – reem."

"Now, we suspect views will be polarised on this one, because DB5=James Bond and not DB5=Somewhere For My Pooch. But, in certain quarters of the Top Gear office, this DB5 SB is quite something. A good something."
Novitec has modified a Tesla Model 3
"Novitec doesn’t just do 800-odd horsepower Ferraris and Lamborghinis, y’know. For a while it’s offered tuning packages for the Tesla Models S and X. Many people bought them. So now it’s done the little Tesla, too."
There's a new Dacia Sandero RS, and it's still not for us
"This is a hot hatch by the old definition of the term, too. By which we mean a highly strung naturally aspirated engine, a manual gearbox and scant driving aids. As opposed to a zillion horsepower turbo engine, a many-speed paddleshift transmission and a deeply complex four-wheel drive system like any credible modern fast car appears to require."
Another day, another 236mph hypercar: the TS 900 H APEX
"This is the Team Tushek TS 900 H APEX. It is a very fast car; one might even label it a ‘hypercar’. This is because the Team Tushek TS 900 H APEX Very Fast Car features a rear-mounted 4.2-litre petrol V8 and compressor, combined with a pair of electric motors on the front wheels."

"200 cars have been tested across the globe, but a lot of the extreme event testing is done here. That’s things such as kerb strikes, bridge jumps and pothole breaks. Not just testing of the wheels and suspension but knock-on effects such as the loads on the engine mounts."
Here's what it's like living with a Mercedes EQC for a weekend
"The family spent a good proportion of the M27 downloading ZapMap and getting introduced to a whole new lexicon. This is the learning curve of electric cars and unless you drive a Tesla and have access to Supercharging, the complexity of networks, apps, payment and charging is not simple. Anyway, having even got down to discussing wind direction at one stage, we get to West Wittering with 54 per cent remaining, so I’m given a reprieve."

"Here’s the third instalment of Top Gear’s stunt driver auditions, and your mission is a simple, but deadly one: you must clear the dreaded supermarket car park by jumping over it really high and really fast."
Which Porsche 911 GT3 is your favourite?
"The 911 GT3 arrived in 1999. One of the first production cars to lap the ‘Ring in under eight minutes (says Porsche), it got a 3.6-litre N/A six-cylinder engine that made just 360bhp. By today’s standards, not very much at all. It did rev to 7,800rpm though, and was paired with a most excellent six-speed manual gearbox carried over from the 993-generation 911 GT2. All-in, it weighed 1,350kg. This is nothing."

"Take a closer look at Ferrari's first series production plug-in hybrid."
LOOK AT THIS RED VOLKSWAGEN ID R
"Look at it. It’s RED. Volkswagen has announced it wants to set a new record with its blackout-inducing, mad ID R electric racecar. Oh, blackout-inducing you say? The ID R made our Motoring Editor Ollie Marriage literally black out for a few moments while driving it. True story."
Subaru America has made us nostalgic for the Nineties
"The 1990s were a wonderful time. Britpop, superclubs, Pogs… and a pair of gung-ho British rally drivers in the shape of Richard Burns and Colin McRae, with World Rallying on terrestrial telly."
Top Gear's 2019 Formula One half term report
"What an F1 season it’s been so far. Bet you didn’t think we’d be saying that after four races in. In fact after the snooze-fest that was the French GP, many were writing Formula One off completely, not just the season itself."
Meet the Godfather of Sole
"Say ciao to Ciccio Liberto, the Sicilian shoemaker whose fast footwear changed the pace of racing."
Chris Harris Drives: the Type 64, the first ever Porsche
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is it. This is the very beginning of Porsche; the start of one of the world’s most famous sportscar (and now SUV) makers on the planet. Chris Harris details the story of the simply incredible Type 64…"
