Kia cee’d news - Gone to cee’d - 2009

Published: 14 Jul 2009

If, like us, you'd sort of forgotten about the Kia cee'd, this facelift might come as a surprise. The cee'd has only been around for 18 months, so this nip and tuck has come a little earlier than usual.

The car gets Kia's new family face, which is nicked from the fantastically exciting Magentis. The bonnet has been re-sculpted and the bumper, grille and lights have all been updated. Inside, the centre console has been made ‘more intuitive' (no fumbling around for the volume knob, then) and you can now have a Bluetooth kit.

It's a good car, the cee'd - a genuine Ford Focus rival for not-much-money. This facelifted version will be shown at Frankfurt later this year, alongside two all-new models (cars, not girls).

Maybe this new look will help it stick in the memory a little longer.

Or maybe it won't. Hello? Are you still reading this? You've forgotten it already, haven't you?
