Watch: Speed Dreams - The Fastest Place on Earth

As James'll tell you, there's something magnificent about blokes in sheds pottering around building stuff. As Jeremy'll tell you, there's something magnificent about going really, really, really fast. And as Richard'll tell you, there's something rather special about Bonneville salt flats. But if you need more convincing, watch this fantastic documentary.

It's about a group of British amateur engineers building bikes and cars to spank down the Bonneville salt flats. The show covers the build-up of six very different machines, and six very different reasons for heading to the salt. There's 300mph belly-tank racers, bespoke 70-year-old bikes built by a beach cleaner in Great Yarmouth, and a group of mates rebuilding a bike dragged out of storage after 18 years.
