Which 1980s/90s hot hatch should Tolman work its magic on next?
Tolman says it has more restomod hot hatches in the pipeline, but what would you like to see next?
So, you’ve watched Freddie Flintoff driving the Tolman Edition Peugeot 205 GTI on Top Gear telly, and you’ve read all about the very first customer car that has just been delivered.
Now we need some audience participation, because TG has a question for you. Tolman has let slip that “more ‘Tolman Edition’ cars are planned, based on other 1980s and 1990s hot hatches”. So, what we want to know is which retro hot hatch you would like to see restomodded next.
If we’re talking 1980s then the obvious choices would be things like the Ford Fiesta XR2, the Renault 5 GT Turbo or late Mk1 Golf GTI. Or perhaps Tolman will go a little more left-field with a Vauxhall Astra (or Nova) GTE, an MG Metro Turbo, a Citroen AX GT or a Nissan March Super Turbo?
The 1990s offers loads more options too, with the possibility of anything from the Renault Clio Williams to the Citroen Saxo VTS.
Thoughts in the comments section below please folks.
