Bentley's 100th birthday Mulsanne has a special extra

Next year Bentley is 100 years old. But it’s started the celebrations a tad early, with this 100-off limited edition Mulsanne saloon.

It’s called the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, paying homage to company founder W.O. Bentley. It’s as posh as you’d expect: four different woods, loads of leather and some lambswool rugs. Lovely.

Most interest, though, lies within the cocktail cabinet. Each W.O. Edition comes with one as standard and inside – displayed in a little window beside your glass of Cheeky Vimto – is a bit of crankshaft from W.O. Bentley’s personal car. There’s also a doodle of the car in question – a Bentley 8 Litre – just so you can explain your wonderfully nerdy artefact to your fellow rear seat passenger as you construct another Jägerbomb.

The Mulsanne has its own, complete engine in the usual place, though, with a 6.75-litre V8 producing 505bhp and a baffling 752lb ft. Enough to spill your drink all over that lovely artwork if deployed immaturely…
