Land Rover is building a two-door Range Rover

First pic of the new Range Rover SV Coupe interior, full reveal in March at Geneva

Published: 24 Jan 2018

Land Rover is going to build a two-door Range Rover called the SV Coupe. This is just the interior, but you’ll see the full thing at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Until then, there are but few details, and a bit of history. It’s a “celebration of the Range Rover bloodline”, that two-door body pointing back to the original 1970 Range Rover’s two-door body. Plus, 2018 marks Land Rover’s 70th anniversary year.

We’re promised “up-to-the-minute” tech throughout that rather lovely cabin, as well as lots of light, space and things that are “sumptuous to the touch”. There’s also mention of “extensive opportunities to personalise” the SV Coupe.

This big, luxury two-door SUV will be built at LR’s SV Technical Centre in Warwickshire, with production limited to just 999 models. That’s a global production number, mind.

Land Rover’s special ops boss John Edwards said: “In launching the new Range Rover SV Coupe, we will offer clients an alluring combination of peerless luxury and rarity."
